Pitched in classical orchestral C, this model allows tuba and trombone players to execute period literature with an authentic, distinctive tone that is noticeably lighter and more agile than a Bb ophicleide.
Constructed with 11 precision keys on a 41-inch frame with an 8-inch bell, the OC11 weighs just 7.9 lbs (3.6 kg) and offers a flexible pitch range variable from A=425 to 450 Hz (with primary key spacing set at modern A=440 Hz).
Every instrument arrives as a complete historical package, including a custom mouthpiece, a fitted hard case, and an instructional tutor book written by renowned specialist Tony George. You can return any item bought from Wessex Tubas within 14 days of receiving it for a full refund, minus shipping costs. However, please contact us before returning your item so we can provide you with return labels and a collection booking with our dedicated courier to ensure the safe return of your item/s. When returning the item, it must be in its original packaging and in ’as received’ condition. Please note that shipping charges apply to refund upon return of your item and any damage will also result in reduced refund.
