Emanuel Chavarría Rodríguez is a talented Mexican tubist born on February 18, 2007, in Zumpango, State of Mexico. He is currently in the sixth semester of a technological high school program at Felipe Villanueva and is studying a Bachelor’s degree at the Carlos Chávez Orchestra School. Emanuel began his musical studies at the age of nine under the guidance of his father and has taken masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Sergio Carolino, Paul Conrad, Roger Bobo, Jung-Moo Lee, and Vicente Chavarría Ortiz, among others. He also had his first tuba lesson with Maestro Garamendi Rocha, principal tubist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico.
His experience includes being a member of the Eduardo Mata University Youth Orchestra, the Metropolitan Brass Ensemble, and performing as an extra musician with the National Symphony Orchestra, the Mexiquense Philharmonic, and the Metropolitan Philharmonic. He has participated in important events such as the Third University Trombone Biennial and the Mexican Brass Ensemble. Emanuel has won several competitions and auditions, standing out in the ITEC Spain 2025 competition, the International Tuba and Euphonium Competition in Panama, and the Mérida International Brass Festival, where he took first place in the student tuba category.
His promising career has led him to be a soloist with the National Conservatory Symphony Band and to be part of the Mexican Children and Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSIM). Emanuel is recognized as a rising star in the tuba world and was recently signed as an official artist by Wessex Tubas with his Chicago-York tuba.
