The brass band equivalent of the football league, the National Brass Band Championships sees over 600 bands from across the country compete in 8 regional heats; culminating in 2 finals events.

An annual event, the finals of the National Brass Band Championships is an occasion Wessex Tubas frequent; every year exhibiting some of our most popular and newest brass instruments for guests to try and enjoy.

This year is no different as, this weekend - 16th & 17th September - we prepare for our return; venturing to The Centaur, Cheltenham, for Sections 1 - 4 of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

Every year, we’re blown away with the response we receive from excited and enthusiastic musicians attending the event, who take great pleasure in trying out our instruments. And, every year, we’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share our instruments with those in attendance.

The only thing different about this year from last? We’ll be exhibiting in a different part of the venue - upstairs, by the bar.

So, if, like us, you’re preparing to attend the National Brass Band Championships this weekend, come and pay us a visit whilst you’re there - and you may as well grab a drink on your way over!

Finally, for everyone competing this weekend, we can’t end any piece about the Nationals without giving you our very best wishes in the competition, and congratulations for coming this far.
