Cuban-born Tubaist Harold Hernández brings to Wessex a wealth of knowledge & experience in performance, lecturing, and thought-leadership surrounding the humble Tuba.
Both a Professor and Director of various institutions in Spain, Cuba, and Italy, Hernández is a world renowned and widely respected instrumentalist; regularly recording for radio, TV, and various record labels.

A seasoned writer of all-things Tuba, Hernández regularly writes for teaching and specialist trade and musicology publications in Cuba, USA, and Spain, including; CLAVE Magazine, and HOQUET, alongside his own didactic blog in InBBflat.
Hernández is currently Professor of Tuba at the Jaén Conservatory of Music, as well as a member and founder of QURTUBA BRASS QUINTET, THE DIX MACHINE (Jazz) and Duo TU-BONE (Tuba and Trombone).
